The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly during plenary on thursday, ratified the confirmation of Hon. Justice Ekaete Francisca Obot as substantive Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State.
The ratification followed a motion moved by the Member representing Etinan State Constituency and Deputy Leader of the Assembly, Hon. Barr Aniefiok Dennis Akpan
The Etinan lawmaker during his presentation described Hon Justice Ekaete Obot as humane, erudite, exposed, intelligent and one with towering credentials in the legal profession capable of effecting necessary reforms in Akwa Ibom Judicial System.
He gave credence to the National Judicial Council for their sincere and transparent approach in the selection and recommendation process and the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel for aligning with the NJC’s choice and urged his colleagues in the Assembly to have an abiding faith in the capacity of “Milord”, Hon Justice Ekaete Obot to reforming the state judiciary.
