In a bid to foster self-reliance and economic independence among women and youths in the Isoko Nation, the lawmaker representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, is set to empower 200 constituents with a comprehensive 3-day skill acquisition and entrepreneurship programme.
The event which is Scheduled for Monday, December 9 to Wednesday, December 11, 2024, is expected to take place at his Constituency Office, Oleh (Former Union Bank Building along Emore Road) starting each day at 8:30 AM.
According to a statement released from the lawmaker’s constituency office and signed by one of his aides, Comr. Kingsley Ikodudu, the event is part of his ongoing commitment to fulfill his campaign promises, particularly his pledge to improve the livelihoods of indigent women and youths in his constituency.
“The programme will cover a wide range of essential topics aimed at equipping participants with the skills necessary for business success.
“These include the production and packaging of cleansing products (liquid, bar, and detergent), entrepreneurial skills, branding and brand management, and the NAFDAC/SON certification process. Additionally, training in marketing and corporate strategy as well as financial management will be provided to ensure that participants are well-prepared to launch and manage successful businesses.”, the state reads.
“This training is a critical step toward empowering the community and promoting economic growth in the region. . It is essential that we equip our women and youths with practical skills that will help them thrive in the competitive business world. This programme is designed to provide them with the tools they need to become self-reliant and contribute to the development of our constituency,” he added.
The programme is expected to benefit a wide range of participants, with the aim of creating sustainable economic opportunities within the constituency. With seats limited to 200 beneficiaries, interested participants are advised to arrive early, as the flag-off ceremony will begin promptly at 8 AM on Monday, December 9.
