Xmas: fun and pageantry as Ukodhiko’s wife host Isoko kids

Mrs. Ivie Ukodhiko, wife of the honourable member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives Hon. Engr. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, yesterday hosted little children of Isoko ethnic nationality to an afternoon of fun and splendor in her yearly Christmas party.

The festive event which took place at the Erawha-Owhe country home of the lawmaker, saw  Mrs. Ukodhiko expressing her gratitude to God Almighty for the opportunity to organize the party which brought tremendous joy to the faces of the attendees.

In her address, Mrs. Ukodhiko encouraged the children to always uphold good character, behave responsibly, and take their education seriously. She assured them of her commitment to their welfare, adding, “This year’s message is simply love. As we celebrate, let us go back to our homes and show love to our family and friends.”

She also expressed heartfelt appreciation to her husband, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, for his tireless support in ensuring the success of the annual Christmas party. Additionally, she thanked parents and guardians for consistently making their children available for the celebration.

The event featured various fun activities, including dancing competitions, spelling bees, egg-and-sack races, and more. Children were also presented with gifts as a highlight of the celebration.

Dignitaries present at the event included Dame Minnie Igbrude, a member of the Delta State Local Government Service Commission; Chief Fome Ethe, PDP Women Leader for Isoko South Chapter; Mrs. Endurance Ibru, her counterpart in Isoko North; and Mrs. Joy Egbo, alongside other grassroots women leaders.

The joyous gathering reinforced the spirit of love and unity among families and children in the Isoko Federal Constituency.
