The Delta State Ministry of Health has reacted to fake “online sales” of Entrance Examination Form into the Basic Midwifery, Nursing Programme.

In a government special bulletin released and signed by the Director of Information, Theresa Adiabua Oliko, the Ministry cautioned the public “to take note and be guided and not be fleeced of their hard earned money by dubious persons”

While stressing that there’s no online sales of forms, the Ministry said “For the avoidance of doubt, it was categorically stated in the Government special announcement sent out earlier that Application forms are obtainable in all the schools of Nursing and Midwifery in Delta State at a non-refundable payment of N10,000 (ten thousand naira) only”

The statement reads;

GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

DISCLAIMER: ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR ENTRANCE EXAMINATION INTO STATE SCHOOLS OF MIDWIFERY, NURSING

The attention of the Delta State Ministry of Health has been drawn to the “ONLINE SALES” of Entrance Examination form into the 3-year Basic Midwifery programme into State Schools of Midwifery, Asaba and Sapele in September, 2021, and 3-year Basic Nursing programme into State Schools of Nursing; Agbor, Eku and Warri in October, 2021, for the award of Registered Nursing (R.N) certificate.

For the avoidance of doubt, it was categorically stated in the GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT sent out earlier that “Application forms are obtainable in all the schools of Nursing and Midwifery in Delta State at a non-refundable payment of N10, 000 (ten thousand naira) only, payable to:

BANK:                   ZENITH BANK

ACCOUNT NAME:   MINISTRY OF HEALTH, DEPARTMENT OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY

ACCOUNT NO:             1015649624.

v       and “PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES SHOULD NOTE THAT FORMS ARE NOT SOLD ONLINE AND CANNOT BE PAID FOR ONLINE.

Arising from the above, prospective applicants who purchase forms online, do so at their own risk as such forms would not be processed and the candidates will not be allowed to sit for the examination which has been scheduled to hold in September 11 and 18, 2021.

Accordingly, prospective applicants are advised to take note and be  guided and not to be fleeced of their hard earned money by dubious persons.
