The Honorable Member representing Isoko South Constituency II in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Ferguson Ajirioghene Onwo, was today announced as the Majority Leader of the House. This was sequel to a letter sent to the Speaker of the House by the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso.
Onwo replaces the Late Hon. Barr. Tim Kome Owhefere KSC who passed away in January this year, which saw the House operating without a substantive Majority Leader for nearly 8 months
The new Leader of the House is a University of Ibadan-trained Political Scientist, administrator and business tycoon, whose emergence is expected to put an end to the torrents of agitations for the retention of the position in Isoko Federal Constituency, by various Isoko Groups most especially the pan-Isoko advocacy and Socio-cultural group, Isoko United Parliament, Asaba (IUPA).
